My latest sewing creation – some covers for our outside chairs to cheer them up a bit, made from an old pair of curtains!
Ooooh lovely! They must have made a fine pair of curtains too! I need to buy some garden furniture to have a go at some cushions!
Thank-you, I wanted to buy some more garden furniture as these didn;t really match before but glad I cheered up the old chairs instead!
Love the fabric! 🙂
Fabulous – a good example of make do and mend!!!! That is such lovely bright fabric – I really need to make some new cushion seats for outside too.
happy handmade monday
Thanks Rebecca, it was all this lovely weather that we have had that made me do it – couldn’t spend another summer looking at the chairs the way they were!
Cool! Very bright and summery. Would look good in my garden… 😉
Thanks for taking the time to comment Kat
Very striking material. Just right for a hot summers day. Good idea to use the material and revamp your existing chairs.
Thanks, always more satisfying to recycle something isn’t it!
Lovely bright fabric, its great that you can recycle your old curtains- I wouldn’t know where to start.
It was really easy, I just measured the chairs and got to it, the stitching isn’t perfect but does fine for what they are needed for. Give it a go!
Oh, so cool! I love making something into something else! You are so creative! 🙂
Thank-you Susie! Having to save the pennies always keeps me thinking of ways to keep myself busy and get things I want at the same time!
